Welcome

We are delighted to welcome you to the 16th Alps-Adria Psychology Conference in 2026 in Pécs, Hungary.

Surrounded by the scenic backdrop of the Mecsek Hills in southern Hungary, Pécs offers a rich blend of cultural heritage, historical charm, and leisure opportunities. Hosted by the University of Pécs, the oldest university in Hungary, this diverse and welcoming conference will provide an inspiring setting for scholarly exchange, with social connections and the latest developments in psychology equally at its center.

Starting in 1987, the Alps-Adria Psychology Conferences were organized by universities in the Alps-Adria region and held in Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, and Slovenia. The conferences served as a platform for inspiring research exchange across all areas of psychology and provided a place to build new partnerships and refresh old ones. We are pleased to continue this tradition and to host the 16th Alps-Adria Psychology Conference in Pécs (Hungary), which will take place from 24th to 26th September 2026.

Registration and abstract submissions are open; please visit the website for more information!

We invite submissions from all areas of psychology (including cognitive-, affective-, evolutionary-, social-, personality-, educational-, clinical-, health-, organizational-, and environmental psychology), as well as interdisciplinary research with a clear connection to psychological theory or practice.

We trust that Pécs, the town of Mediterranean atmosphere, will provide an excellent venue for inspiring presentations, professional discussions, meetings, reunions, and enjoyable social programs.

Looking forward to meeting you in September,

András Láng and the Scientific Committee
