Welcome Message

This fall, with international participation, Surgical Division of the Department of Paediatrics, University of Pécs will organize the 26th Paediatric Trauma Congress.

Paediatric traumatology is a sub-specialization which unites unique knowledge from a plethora of medical fields. I hope that pediatric victims of accidents can receive better and more efficient treatment, because conferences like this one create possibilities for lectures, debates, and informal discussions.

During a conference, we can learn from each other, find new trends, challenge to each other, and recognize that all of us are struggling with difficult, problematic cases. We often see challenges differently and have different opinions, however, we are always adjusting, converging our opinions, and building professional relationships.

On Friday, there will be Hungarian lectures about mistakes and misinterpretations, as well as, a varia section, while on Saturday, our invited speakers, Professor Pierre Lascombes, Professor Elhanan Bar-On, and Professor Kai Ziebarth will take lectures in English. In the frame of hands-on activities (workshops), there will be a possibility to discover technical details and establish personal contacts.

The successful past conferences increases the expectations for the upcoming meeting. We endeavor to provide a pleasant, enchanting environment in the downtown of Pécs. Smooth management of the organizing activities is assured by the well-experienced and dedicated team of Asszisztencia Ltd.

Traumatologists, pediatric surgeons, physiotherapists, and health care providers are all welcome, who want to share their knowledge and experience about the topic, and also who wish to learn from the leading European experts of pediatric traumatology.
